OXYMORONS
With these 4 paintings i wanted to portray casual pictures of planet Earth pollution by the human being. From these situations pops up the paradox of the oxymoron which reflects the contradictions of human being in his relation to nature.
The warm skies of winter
The simple and comforting things sometimes hide dramas that only those who do not take refuge in the comfortable sweetness of denial can see. Family, children, home sweet home, but hot skies in this messy winter. Too hot or too cold. The extremes, unstable, unpredictable are there, hidden behind the sweetness of safe and stable values. Climato-skeptic, look at the warm skies of winter! See the oxymoron!

The dark clarity of the morning
The morning light passes through the particles. We are blinded by its clarity. We are also blinded by the dark mass of particles. We do not see anything anymore. But we do not know the exact reason: too much light in the morning or the diffuse darkness of air pollution? Morning oxymoron!

Sublime waste
And if the ugly suddenly became sublimely beautiful? What is beautiful? What is ugly? Sometimes these two originate from the form. Other times from the substance. But the nature of things being more complex than these simple binary criteria, these two most often originate from tensions and subtle interactions between the substance and the form. And here is the oxymoron that is made through the waste of human being dumped in nature.
